BOSTON – Ashley Waters had three hits, including an RBI triple in the first inning to lead the University of Maine by Boston University 4-2 in the second game of a doubleheader Wednesday.
The Terriers won the first game 2-1.
In the first game, Cassidi Hardy kept the Black Bears off balance, giving up one run on four hits with five strikeouts.
Brittany Cheney and Erin Provost had the only hits for Maine.
In the second game, Meagan Ramos had a two-run single and scored in the second inning. Kristie Hawkins added two singles for the Bears.

Husson, Thomas split
At Bangor, Shawna Bell and Jordon Pruett each had an RBI double to lead Husson by Thomas College 3-2 in the first game of a doubleheader.
Thomas came back to take the second game 1-0.
In the opener, Jenny Rollins and Sabrina Sevigny each singled for the Eagles and Nicole Manzo drove in a run.
Kayla Beaudoin and Brittany Oxley each had an RBI single for Thomas of Waterville.
In the second game, Beaudoin led Thomas with three hits while Brittany Morin, Joy Ireland and Lindsey Sierra each had two hits. Ireland drove in the run for the Terriers.

UMF sweeps Maine Maritime
At Castine, Renee Trafton had two hits, including a three-run triple, to lead the Beavers to a doubleheader sweep of Maine Maritime Academy
UM-Farmington won the first game 10-3 and took the second 9-0.
In the first game, Lauren Overlook and Sara Martin each had RBI doubles for the Beavers.
Darcy Herrick and Amanda Stover led the Mariners with two hits each.
In the second game, Erin Porter and Alix Raymond each had two hits while Brandi Rideout hit an inside-the-park home run for the Beavers.
St. Joseph’s sweeps Plymouth
At Standish, Gabrielle Burrola pitched a five-hitter in a 5-1 first-game win and Colleen Delahanty scattered nine hits as the Monks swept with a 7-2 victory in the nightcap.
Burrola had a double and two singles in the first game, while Amanda Roy hit a two-run double to highlight a four-run uprising in the third.
In the second game, Kristi Albert and Alysn Ludwig each had two hits and scored two runs for Saint Joseph’s, while Megan Farrell had three RBIs.

At Gorham, Stefan Black’s two-run single capped a four-run first inning for the Huskies as they rolled past Thomas College of Waterville.
Black added another RBI single and Jim Pierce hit one for Southern Maine. Pat Kinslow knocked a two-run single.
Jerry Randall paced the Terriers with a solo home run.

UMF, Lyndon State split
At Lyndonville, Vt., Dan Hemdal pitched four innings of no-hit ball and Chip Burnham of Winthrop drove in five runs to help lead the University of Maine-Farmington split a doubleheader with Lyndon State.
The Beavers won the first game 12-3 and lost the second 15-11.
In the first game, Burham hit a two-run homer in the first and drove in two in a six-run seventh for the Beavers. Pete McLaughlin and Jake Turner each went 3-for-4.
In the second game, Aaron Wolfe had two doubles, a single and three RBIs for the Beavers. Tom Danylik and Dan Stefanilo each had two singles.
