BANGOR – The Robinson Ballet is in rehearsals preparing for its 2006 annual dance performance at:

. 7 p.m. Saturday, April 29, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at the Grand Auditorium in Ellsworth.

. 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 12-13, at Hauck Auditorium, University of Maine, Orono.

In keeping with past performances, Robinson Ballet will present diversified guest musicians and choreographers whose pieces will showcase various dance styles.

This year’s musical guests include Jeffrey Densmore, a hand drummer and percussionist from Belfast who specializes in African and Caribbean rhythms.

Guest choreographers Lisa Newcomb, director of the Belfast Dance Studio; and Shana Bloomstein have a history of collaboration with Densmore. Other guest choreographers include Stevie Dunham, Terry Lacy, and Robinson Ballet’s artistic directors Keith Robinson and Maureen Lynch.
