Player of the Week

COLLEGE

Bobbi Dennison

Bowdoin College sophomore midfielder Bobbi Dennison of Freeport was named NESCAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week. Dennison scored five goals and assisted another to lead Bowdoin to the 13-9 win over Trinity on Saturday.

Caddy Brooks

Colby College freshman attacker Caddy Brooks was honored as the NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week. Brooks had six goals and five assists in a 2-0 week for Colby.

Luke Enman

Saint Joseph’s College sophomore Luke Enman was honored as the Baseball Player of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Enman batted .665 with four runs, 8 RBIs, three home runs, and a double in a 3-0 week.

Dan Hemdal

University of Maine at Farmington freshman pitcher Dan Hemdal was named the North Atlantic Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week. Hemdal made one start and two relief appearances. He picked up two wins and a save while pitching four shutout innings in the start.

Lisa Baillargeon

University of New England sophomore Lisa Baillargeon was honored as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week. Baillargeon went 12-for-18 (.667) in six games for the Nor’easters.

Ryan Bourque

Junior outfielder Ryan Bourque of the University of Southern Maine was named the Little East Conference Baseball Player of the Week. Bourque batted .533 with seven runs scored, four RBIs, two doubles, and a home run in a 4-0 week for the Huskies.

Virginia Flood

University of Southern Maine junior attacker Virginia Flood was named the Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week by the Little East Conference. Flood scored 14 goals and had two assists in a 1-1 week.

Melissa Bellemore

University of Southern Maine junior Melissa Bellemore was honored as the Little East Conference Women’s Track and Field – Field Athlete of the Week. Bellemore placed first in the pole vault (10-6), first in the triple jump (34-0), and second in the 100-meter hurdles (16.47) in the Wesleyan University Swanson Invitational.

Matt Filteau

University of Southern Maine senior Matt Filteau was named the Little East Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. Filteau finished the week with a 2-0 record at both number one singles and number one doubles.

Derek Stevenson

Freshman Derek Stevenson of the University of Southern Maine was named the Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week by the Little East Conference. Stevenson went 4-0 last week with two wins each in singles and doubles.
