BANGOR – The following are city meetings and other activities for the week ahead. All will be held in City Council chambers at City Hall unless otherwise indicated.

. Monday: 2 p.m., Arbor Day tree planting ceremony, Paul Bunyan Park; 5:30 p.m., City Council, executive session regarding negotiations on Penn National Gaming Inc.’s permanent gaming facility site, city manager’s office; 6 p.m., City Council, executive session regarding negotiation of option agreement with state court system for city development site, city manager’s office; 6:45 p.m., City Council, executive session regarding negotiation of amendment to development agreement with Penview Associates for city development parcel at Bangor Waterfront, city manager’s office; 7 p.m., school committee, regular meeting, Abraham Lincoln School, agenda includes alternative education program, April 1 enrollment, administrator probationary nominations, teacher probationary and continuing contracts, extra-duty assignments, March financial statement; 7:30 p.m., City Council, regular meeting, agenda includes award of contract for heating system modifications at airport, ordinance amendments, adoption of emergency management agency ordinance, lease and purchase agreements, business development loan for Hallowell International LLC, authorizing sale of industrial park lot, contract award for airport sprinkler systems, amendment to option agreement with Penview Associates.

. Wednesday: 5 p.m., recycling committee, agenda includes five-year plan, Public Works, 530 Maine Ave.; 6 p.m., reception with Bangor Daily News photojournalists, City Hall foyer, first floor.

. Thursday: 7:30 a.m., cultural development commission, agenda includes review of proposals for cultural survey work, Bangor Center Corp. grant request; 5 p.m., City Council, budget workshop, review of LD 1’s effect on proposed budget, overview and review of general fund budget.
