ROCKLAND – David Benner hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Rockland Tigers a 5-1 high school baseball victory over the Camden Hills Windjammers Friday.
John Coppola added two singles and Mike Marsh and triple and a single for the winners.
Miles Davee hit a pair of singles for Camden Hills.

At Eastport, righthander Scott Geel struck out 16 over six innings, allowing seven hits and just one run, and he also drove in three runs with a double and two singles to spark Calais’ win.
Geel walked just one in the mutual season-opener.
Roman Hall had three singles for the winners, Travis Johnson had two singles and two RBIs and Dave Crossman singled twice.
Aaron Sullivan had a double and an RBI single for Shead of Eastport and Tommy Pottle singled twice.

Rick Bernosky knocked in three runs with a double and two singles for Belfast. Tyler Bowen singled twice and had an RBI and John Walsh hit a two-run double.

Wood, who beat Machias 16-2 on Thursday, walked two and allowed four hits over five innings.
Mary Mawhinney’s bases-loaded triple and Lauren Finn’s two-run double paced Washington Academy’s attack. Ashley Tilton had two singles and two RBIs and Wood doubled and singled and drove in a run.
