Outlook: The Bears and Mules hope to avoid the rain and play a game in a series that began in 1881, when Colby won 6-1. For Division I UMaine, it’s a chance to play a few backup players and get pitchers some much-needed work. For Division III Colby, the contest is an opportunity to play a high-caliber opponent only an hour from campus. Tesseyman pitches for the first time since March 17 for UMaine, which is 12-2-1 in its last 15 games and leads America East. The Mules, who are batting .323 overall, have dropped nine of their last 10. Colby competes in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
