BANGOR – The Kenduskeag Slalom, the only slalom race held in Maine, will be held Sunday on the Kenduskeag Stream at 8 a.m. at Valley Avenue and Exchange Street.

A two-mile down-river race will be also be held on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The slalom is part of the New England Slalom Series.

Volunteers are needed for course setup on Friday at 10 a.m. and for gate judging at 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Helmets are required and there is a $10 entry fee. Participants must register by 2 p.m. on Saturday. Those seeking more information may contact Clayton Cole at 285-7886 during the day or 285-7356 in the evening.
