Air Force Airman David J. Bosse graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

During six weeks of training, Bosse studied the Air Force mission, organization, customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations.

Bosse is the son of Norma and Joseph Bosse of Madawaska and a 2005 graduate of Madawaska High School.

Army Staff Sgt. Mark E. McDonough has been named the U.S. Army Armor Center, and Fort Knox, Ky., Non-commissioned Officer of the Quarter for the first quarter 2006.

Selection was based on exemplary duty performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities and significant self-improvement.

McDonough, a drill sergeant, is assigned to the 81st Armor Company. He is the son of Diane and Philip McDonough of Caribou and a 1996 graduate of Caribou High School.
