Outlook: Both Maine and Binghamton are on hot streaks now even though they’re ranked first and last, respectively, in America East. The Bearcats have won five of their last seven while the Black Bears have won five straight and are 7-0 at Kessock Field. With one victory this weekend Maine will have 32 wins, which would tie the 1994 team for most in a season. The Black Bears, who have 64 stolen bases, will likely try to test the Bearcats, who have allowed 49 this year and have a league-low .933 fielding percentage. Maine is still struggling to hit consistently and has a .257 team batting average, second lowest in America East.
