LIMESTONE – Andrew Kirchner stole home with two out in the bottom of the fifth inning Monday to give Limestone the go-ahead run and a 5-4 high school baseball victory over Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook.

Gabe Hrynick had two singles and an RBI for Limestone. Kirchner singled twice and Matt Enman doubled.

Colby Clark hit an RBI single in the first inning for the Warriors and Zack Stubbs doubled.

Ashland 8, Katahdin 7

At Ashland, Trevor Tompkins hit a two-run single in the fifth inning which scored the eventual game-winning run to lead Ashland by Katahdin.

Jeremy Tarr drove in two runs on two singles while Tyler Cote and Kevin Baker each added two singles for the Hornets.

Casey Savage hit three singles for Katahdin while Owen McCarthy and Cameron Cunningham each added two singles and an RBI.

At Hodgdon, Andrew York tripled, doubled twice and drove in six runs to lead the Panthers of Mars Hill to victory.

Blake McCarthy chipped in with a double and single for the winners and Eric Martinez singled twice.

Jesse Lane doubled for the Hawks.

At Fairfield, Corey Cushing and Greg Higgins combined on a three-hitter to lead the Witches to victory.

Cushing allowed three hits over five innings and posted a double and a single. Higgins worked two hitless innings for Brewer and added an RBI single.

Shawn Gray paced the Witches with a double, two singles and three RBIs. Reid McLaughlin singled twice (1 RBI), while Tim Bush stroked a run-scoring double.

Nick Nelson hit an RBI triple for Lawrence. Brock Lawrence added an RBI single.

At Newport, Jason Dore hit a two-run single to spark a four-run fifth-inning rally that propelled the Indians to victory.

Andy Boumil added two singles for Skowhegan. Cody Vigue earned the pitching win, while Mike LaCasse came on in the seventh for the save.

Cody Johndro had two singles for Nokomis, while David Tozier added an RBI single and Corey Harding an RBI fielder’s choice.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, leadoff hitter Kyle Vanidestine drew three walks and scored three runs as the Rams remained unbeaten.

Alex Gallant doubled while Ben Estabrook, Scott Hackett and Tom Crews each hit an RBI single for Bangor.

Ian Edwards and Kyle Leeman combined on a five-hitter for Bangor with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Mike Jacques singled twice and drove home the lone run for Messalonskee of Oakland.

Justin Willett pitched a five-hitter for the Eagles.

At Limestone, Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook had the bases loaded with one out in the seventh inning when Limestone turned the 1-2-5 double play to end the game.

Kyle Mulherin had two singles and two RBIs for Limestone. Logan Cousins hit an RBI double in the sixth inning and Julie Peers singled twice.

Amanda Clark hit three singles to drive in a run for the Warriors as Audrey Charette and Amanda Charette each doubled.

Ronnie Robinson, Caitlin Duffy, Chelsie Bates, Brooke Smallwood, Jasmine Pelletier, and Kayla Stevens singled for Katahdin of Stacyville.

Kelsey Bouchard led Fort Kent with a double and a single, while Ashley Bouchard doubled.

At Newport, Laura Dudley scored the winning run on a Cocoa McGraw single in the top of the eighth inning to give Skowhegan the victory.

McGraw had three singles for Skowhegan and Sam Locke hit an RBI single to tie the game in the seventh.

Patrice Cianchette tripled and singled to knock in a run for Nokomis. Cris Pushaw had a double and a single and Devon Carroll doubled and scored a run.

At Fairfield, Jordan McLain pitched a complete game, allowing two runs with eight strikeouts and one walk, to lead Brewer by Lawrence.

Meagan McLain had a triple and a single with two RBIs while Christine Toms had a double and a single. Jordan McLain had two singles with an RBI for the Witches.

Katye Mayo hit an RBI double while Heather Gilman added a double for Lawrence.
