LEWISTON – Justin Spencer hit two triples, a double, and a single to knock in four runs and lead Husson College to a 17-4 college baseball victory over Bates on Monday.

Sean Brawn had two doubles, two singles, two RBIs, and three runs scored for the Eagles of Bangor. Danny White had a double and two singles with two RBIs. Adam Sheeham hit three singles.

Adam Worrall tripled and singled and scored a run for the Bobcats, and Brian Mahoney had two singles and an RBI.

At Gorham, Max Arsenault hit a grand slam and four singles to drive in five runs and lead the University of Southern Maine past Saint Joseph’s College of Standish.

Jordan Yanni hit a home run and had four RBIs for the Huskies and Ryan Bourque singled three times (1 RBI). Eddie Skeffington had two singles and an RBI and Josh Stowell doubled.

Chris Doughty hit two singles for the Monks.

Southern Maine, Bates split

At Lewiston, Caterina Riitano hit two home runs and a double to drive in four runs and lead the University of Southern Maine past Bates College 13-6 in the second game of a doubleheader. The Bobcats also took the opener 9-3.

In the first game, Kyla Decato hit two doubles and a single for Bates. Stacia Saniuk hit a home run and Katie Franklin doubled.

Riitano homered and singled for the Huskies and Sabrina Mills singled to knock in a run.

In the second game, Christen Lachapelle had a home run, two doubles and a single with three RBIs and four runs scored for the Huskies. Shawna Richard hit a double and two singles.

Franklin doubled with two RBIs for Bates and Kyla Decato had two singles and two RBIs.
