BELFAST – The Group Home Foundation has been awarded another government contract for the manufacture of chemical protective suits for the U.S. military.
Kishayra Lambert of the Defense Logistics Agency’s supply center in Philadelphia said the $2.8 million award was a continuation of an ongoing contract with the foundation.
Lambert said Tuesday that the award was for special chemical protective clothing, individual equipment and insignia. The chemical suits are assigned to forces operating in areas where they may come in contact with chemical weapons. The equipment has been used in the current war in Iraq.
