Outlook: UMaine looks to get in some quality midweek nonconference action against Brown, although the weather forecast isn’t promising. The games would not be made up. The Black Bears are coming off an America East weekend split at Binghamton that was dominated by pitching. The key elements of this twinbill are to get work for the pitchers to deepen the staff for the stretch run and to build offensive confidence. Brown, winner of three straight, is third among four teams in the Ivy League’s tough Rolfe Division at 12-8, the third best record in the league.
