Bank promotion

BANGOR – Jennifer Henderson of Hampden has been promoted to vice president in the commercial lending department at TD Banknorth Inc., 77 Exchange St. She will continue to be responsible for the management of loan portfolios in her role as a commercial loan portfolio officer.

Henderson joined TD Banknorth in 2000. She volunteers with the Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross and at Maine Public Radio. She is a 1995 graduate of Thomas College in Waterville. A native of Bridgewater, she is a 1991 graduate of Central Aroostook High School.

Therapy and wellness

BANGOR – River City Therapy and Wellness Center, 268 State St., Bangor, will hold its grand opening celebration 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 6. Staff will offer demonstrations of Pilates, personal fitness, Thai yoga massage, structural integration, spa treatments, anti-aging medicine consults, acupuncture, the Trager approach, cranio-sacral therapy, deep tissue massage and foot massage.

Ribbon-cutting ceremony

BANGOR – Representatives of the city of Bangor and the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce will attend a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Nitro Fitness for Men, 1012 Stillwater Ave. Gov. John Baldacci will cut the ceremonial ribbon.

Real estate training

BANGOR – Earl Black, president of Town & Country Realtors, has announced that Holly Taylor of the Bangor office has completed the Fast Trak Action Workshop.

Offered by Maine Real Estate Training Academy, the advanced six-week program builds sales skills around the marketing systems of Town & Country to enable the agent to better assist buyers and sellers of real estate. For more information, call 942-6711, ext. 148.
