HAMPDEN – Lacey Littlefield spun a three-hit shutout, striking out eight and walking only three to lead the Hampden Academy softball team to a 2-0 high school victory over the Brewer Witches Wednesday.
Michelle Wells singled and scored on a passed ball in the sixth inning for the Broncos. Ashley Gott singled and scored and Liz Kiser hit two singles.
Megan McLain hit two singles for Brewer and Christine Thoms added another.

At Hermon, Sabrina Jellison singled and eventually scored on a passed ball to help the Eagles edge the Hawks in nine innings.
Catie Cravens fired a three-hit shutout, striking out 16 and walking one, to lead Ellsworth. Maggie Seavey provided a bunt single and Kayla Lane a single for the Eagles.
Ally Wharton tripled for Hermon behind loser Ashley Kelley, who scattered three hits while registering 15 strikeouts and three walks. Cassie White laid down a bunt single and Kelley added a single.

At Baileyville, Kristi Holmes hit a grand slam in the second, tripled, and singled for seven total RBIs and led the Machias Bulldogs past Woodland.

Gena Clark had a triple, two doubles, and a single for the Dragons. Tiffany Wormell had four singles and Cynthia Bergin had two.

At Woodland, Craig Moody scattered five hits and struck out seven to lead the Dragons to victory.
Ryaan Bosch rapped three singles with two RBIs for the winners, while Scott Boomer singled twice and Todd Townsend added a two-run single.
Jake Funari hit an RBI double for Machias.

At Danforth, Ken Suitter’s run-scoring double and singles by Kaleb Dicker and Josh Barnes highlighted a five-run fifth inning rally that erased a 6-5 deficit.
There were also three walks and two hit batsmen in the inning.
Barnes had three singles and scored twice and Isaiah Gillis tripled and singled, scored three runs and drove in a run. Adam Boudine added a pair of singles and Eric Preston tossed a four-hitter.
Nolan Gagnon double and singled and scored twice for Washburn.

At Calais, Keegan McCormick hit a grand slam to help lift Calais past Shead of Eastport.
Robbie Rogers hit two doubles including a three-run double that ended the game for Calais. Nick Harmon, Jamey Farley, and Jordan Leeman each hit an RBI single.
Aaron Sullivan hit an RBI single for Shead and Mike Cummings hit the other single.

At Hampden, Prentiss Swett hit three singles, doubled and drove in two runs as Brewer rolled over Hampden.

At Bar Harbor, Collin Henry hit a single and a three-run home run in the sixth inning to lead George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill to victory.
Henry allowed just one run, five hits, and two walks for the Eagles while striking out eight. Blake Wessel had two singles and a double with two RBIs.
Sam Merrill and Brett Mitchell doubled for Mount Desert Island.
