HERMON – Cassius Clark of Farmington cruised to victory in the Pro All-Star Series northern division opener for Super Late Models at Speedway 95 on Sunday.

With a fastest lap of 81.093 miles per hour, Clark completed the 150-lap event comfortably ahead of second-place Scott Chubbuck of Wiscasset. Ben Rowe of Turner finished third, with Travis Benjamin of Morrill fourth and Richie Dearborn of Hollis completing the top five.

Oxford Plains Speedway

Don Mooney of New Gloucester beat Dan Morris of Auburn to win the 100 lap Mini Stock feature on Saturday night. Jay’s Larry Melcher finished third, Bill Thibeault of Oxford was fourth, and Scarborough’s Chris Varney rounded out the top five.

Wiscasset Raceway

Fred “Pee Wee” Brown of Winterport took the lead with three laps remaining to win the 30-lap Late Model Sportsman feature Saturday night. Brown started in 10th position, but used patience and strong restarts to work his way through the field. Bryan Robbins of Liberty finished second, followed by Mike Orr of Wiscasset, Brad Bellows of China and Puncin St. Clair of Liberty.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

Steve Carrier led the final two laps of a 40-lap NASCAR Pro Series feature to earn the victory on Sunday. Carrier moved through the 20-car field to outlast runnerup Mike Maietta of South Portland and 18-year-old Trevor Sanborn of Parsonsfield. Bub Bilodeau of Standish finished fourth, with Bill Rodgers of Old Orchard Beach completing the top five.
