Candle kit, bike seat recalls announced

The following recalls have been announced:

. About 78,500 “Fireplace in a Box” candle kits distributed by Running Press Book Publishers, because the miniature plastic fireplace that surrounds a tea light candle can ignite. The company has received two reports of incidents where the fireplace ignited. “ISBN 0-7624-1603-3” is printed on the candle kit’s packaging. The kits were sold at book stores around the country between September 2003 and April 2006.

. About 14,000 Schwinn Deluxe Bicycle Child Carriers manufactured by PTI Sports Inc., because the seat can fall off if it is not fully placed on the rack of the bicycle. The company has received five reports of a child seat falling from a bicycle. The seats have model number SW571T printed on their packaging and owners manuals.

The child seats were sold at department stores, discount departments stores and military exchanges around the country between September 2004 and November 2005.
