A total of 2,056 students will graduate from Maine’s seven community colleges at ceremonies around the state this month. Speakers at this year’s commencement exercises, as well as the times, dates and locations, are as follows:
Friday, May 12
Central Maine Community College, 313 graduates, commencement speaker Rick Anstey, president-CEO of Oxford Networks, ceremony starts at 6 p.m. at The Colisee, Lewiston.
Washington County Community College, 175 graduates, commencement speaker Dianne Tilton, executive director of the Sunrise Economic Council, ceremony starts 11 a.m. at Calais High School.
Saturday, May 13
Eastern Maine Community College, 300 graduates, commencement speaker U.S. Rep. Michael H. Michaud, ceremony starts at 1:30 p.m. at Bangor Auditorium.
Northern Maine Community College, 215 graduates, commencement speaker Brian N. Hamel of Hamel Enterprises LLC, 10 a.m. at the NMCC gymnasium in Presque Isle.
York County Community College, 80 graduates, commencement speaker Dr. Joseph Donnelly Jr., president of Harbor Foundation, 10 a.m. at the YCCC cafeteria in Wells.
Saturday, May 20
Kennebec Valley Community College, 373 graduates, commencement speaker Scott Bullock, CEO of MaineGeneral Health, 10 a.m. at the Augusta Civic Center.
Southern Maine Community College, 600 graduates, commencement speaker Judy Sullivan, former SMCC English department faculty member, noon at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland.
