BANGOR – Cory Smith pitched a complete-game three- hitter and helped his cause with a double, single and RBI as the Ellsworth Eagles cruised to their seventh victory of the spring, 9-2 over the John Bapst Crusaders in high school baseball action Tuesday.

Louden Jellison added an RBI double for Ellsworth.

Nick Hubbard hit an RBI double for John Bapst and Anthony Ortiz two singles.

At Bordick Park in Hampden, Erskine Academy of South China capitalized on 15 walks to earn the victory.

Dan Cowing paced the Eagles with three singles and three RBIs, while winning pitcher Brett Bagdoyan singled twice.

Joel Neill led Hampden – which jumped out to a 5-0 first-inning lead – with a double and two singles, while Justin Kelsey added a double.

At Milo, Dan Beatham slammed a two-run homer in the top of the first inning and doubled later in the game to lead the Tigers to the win.

Brandon Woodman hit two singles, a double and drove in a run for Dexter.

Nick Emery drove in a run with a single and hit a solo homer for the Patriots. Nate Allen added a single.

At Lincoln, Tim Kennerson hit for the cycle with a home run, triple, double, and two singles to knock in three runs and lead Hermon past Mattanawcook Academy.

Derek Helms and Travis Estes each had two singles and two RBIs for the Hawks. Estes also allowed two runs on six hits and one walks while striking out eight.

Aaron Flannery doubled and singled with two RBIs for the Lynx.

At Bingham, Kyle Witman hit a pair of doubles and drove in two runs to lead Greenville past Valley.

Jake Gallant had a double and a single to drive in two runs while Joe Jardine doubled, singled and knocked in a run for the Lakers.

Travis Hovey slammed a solo homer for the Cavaliers. Cole Pullen singled twice, tripled and knocked in a run and John Hunnewell added three singles and an RBI.

At Guilford, Justin Freeman laced a two-run triple and Nick Lancisi had two doubles, a single and drove in three runs to lead Foxcroft to the win.

Josh Pelletier hit a double and a single to drive in three runs while David White doubled twice for the Ponies.

Shane Tracy had an RBI double while Jarrod Robinson and Toby Cleaves had an RBI single apiece for the Pirates of Guilford.

At Hampden, Sarah Richardson scored with two-outs in the seventh inning on an infield error to lead Erskine Academy of South China past Hampden Academy.

Mariah Gleaton singled in the fifth inning for the Eagles.

Mikki Libbey singled twice and scored a run for Hampden and Hannah Growe hit two singles. Nellie Wood doubled and Lacey Littlefield struck out 10.

At Bangor, Lauren Nichols hit an infield RBI single to drive in Whitney Sinclair in the eleventh inning and lead John Bapst to victory.

Gwen Wadleigh allowed just one run on three hits and three walks while striking out 10. Nichols, Abby Perkins, and Rachel Stearns each had two singles.

Catie Cravens struck out 17 and walked none for Ellsworth. Maggie Seavey doubled, singled, and scored a run and Cravens singled.

At Lincoln, the visiting Hawks scored a pair of unearned runs in the top of the 12th inning to earn their fifth victory of the spring.

Micah Cyr had the only hit of the decisive rally, a one-out single.

Kate Campbell singled twice for the Hawks, while Ashley Kelley pitched a complete-game five-hitter with 18 strikeouts.

Tammy Savage doubled and singled for Mattanawcook Academy, while Kristy Burleigh doubled and Bree Hanscom added an RBI single.

MA starter Deni NiCastro struck out 10 batters in seven innings, while reliever Casey McCloskey struck out five batters in five innings.
