GORHAM – Eddie Skeffington and Max Arsenault each drove in three runs to lead the University of Southern Maine to a 10-1 victory over the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in the first game of the Little East Baseball Championship.

With the win, the top seeded Huskies improve to 28-13, and the sixth-seeded Corsairs drop to 9-26.

Chris Burleson struck out nine and helped his own cause with three singles and an RBI.

Eric Griswold hit an RBI double to score the lone run for the Corsairs.

At Wellesley, Mass., Kara Wong and Samantha Littlejohn each hit an RBI triple to lead Wellesley College past Southern Maine in the ECAC Division III New England tournament.

Jenna Harvey pitched a two-hitter while striking out 10 for the winners.

Sabrina Mills scored on a walk to Katie Mainville for the Huskies.
