McNamee lifts Tigers to victory

FORT FAIRFIELD – Rob McNamee slapped an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth to snap a 2-2 and lift the Fort Fairfield Tigers to a 3-2 high school baseball victory over the Fort Fairfield Tigers on Thursday.

Joey Scull hit an RBI double and Cody Closson an RBI single for Fort Fairfield. Jake Kenneson struck out 14 while allowing two runs on four hits.

Evan Boutlier hit a two-run homer and single for the Warriors of Dyer Brook. Adam Anderson fanned 11 while scattering just three runs on four hits.

Presque Isle 15, Fort Kent 6

At Presque Isle Wednesday, Derek Belanger had two singles and a double to drive in four runs as the Wildcats rolled over the Warriors.

Bennett Cassidy added an RBI single for the winners.

Gib Michaud knocked a three-run homer for Fort Kent and Tom Desjardins hit a pair of singles, a double and drove in a run.

At Deer Isle, Lucas Marks ripped three home runs, a two-run shot and a three-run shot to lead George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill to the win.

Blake Wessel doubled and singled twice and notched an RBI for the Eagles.

Colin Ciomei hit two singles for the Mariners.

Presque Isle 16, Fort Kent 2

At Fort Kent, Allison Young hit four singles and Angela Norsworthy fired a no-hitter as Presque Isle cruised past Fort Kent.

Meagan Pinette, Heather Richards and Norsworthy each notched a double and two singles for the Wildcats.
