Nokomis Regional High School, Newport
NEWPORT – Principal Arnold B. Shorey of Nokomis Regional High School has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2006. Graduation exercises will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at Nokomis.
Teplyn Fournier, daughter of Peter Fournier and Lynn Cianchette of Newport, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2006. She will attend the University of Michigan to study business.
She has been involved in the marching band and pep band all four years, as well as Future Business Leaders of America and the National Honor Society. She participated in basketball, soccer and track.
Lauren Gadeberg, daughter of Karen and Craig Gadeberg of Corinna, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2006. She will attend Syracuse University to study pre-med.
She is the class secretary and secretary of National Honor Society. She has been involved with jazz ensemble, Latin club, Future Business Leaders of America, and student council. She was the recipient of the 2006 Maine Principals’ Association Academic Leadership Award.
Ann Leavitt, daughter of Joan and David Leavitt of Palmyra, has been recognized as third in the Class of 2006; Susannah Sacks, daughter of Jonathan and Winonah Sacks of Palmyra, fourth in the class; and Kevin Bauer, son of Lance and Debra Bauer of Etna, fifth in the class.
