ORONO – University of Maine interim field hockey coach Andrea Thebarge announced the hiring of Louis Mendonca as an assistant coach. Mendonca served as a volunteer assistant coach with the Black Bears for part of the 2005 season.

Mendonca has over 10 years of experience as a field hockey coach and is currently the head coach of the Canadian Men’s Indoor National Team.
