Hampden Academy, Hampden
HAMPDEN – Hampden Academy will hold its graduation exercises at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 11, at the Skehan Center, Hampden Academy. Tickets are required to attend graduation.
Megan L. Grover, daughter of Andy and Wendy Grover of Newburgh, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2006. She will attend the University of Maine at Orono to study nursing. She has been involved in various activities, including basketball, softball, mentoring, tutoring, leadership, Key Club, math team and National Honor Society.
Margosia T. Jadkowski, daughter of Mark Jadkowski of Hampden and Meghan Southworth of Winterport, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2006. She will attend Colby College.
She has been a member of the National Honor Society for two years, serving as president her senior year. She was a member of the Civil Rights team and book club for three years. She was also a Dirigo Girls State representative, participated in swim team and is a peer and community tutor.
Paul H. Wilson, son of John and Bev Wilson of Hampden will deliver the honor essay. He will attend the University of Maine to study mechanical engineering.
He has been an active member of the Hampden Envirothon team, math team, and National Honor Society, as well as having participated in activities outside school, such as the Bangor Area Children’s Choir. He was also a member of the cross country team.
