ORONO – Whitney Page scattered two runs on three hits while striking out three to lead the Sumner Memorial High School Tigers of East Sullivan to a 4-2 high school softball win over Orono on Monday.

Angela Leach singled twice and knocked in two runs for Sumner while Nikky Sargent and Kayla Higgins each had a double.

Jessica Bates slapped a two-run single for the Red Riots.

At Waldoboro, Brittany Barbour tossed a three-hit shutout and helped herself with a two-run double as the Panthers rolled past the Tigers.

April Baker added two singles, a double and two RBIs for Medomak while Melissa Ambridge singled twice to drive in two runs. Erin Sweeney and Jamie O’Jala each hit three singles. Barbour struck out five and walked one in the win.

Casey McCloskey paced the Lynx of Lincoln with two singles, while Renee Libbey doubled and scored two runs.

Stephanie Whittier pitched a one-hitter for the Lions, yielding only a fifth-inning single by Camden Hills’ Kayla Gushee.

At Jonesport, Jonesport-Beals rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge Narraguagus in the first game 13-10.

Narraguagus defeated Jonesport-Beals 10-9 in the second game.

In the first game, Jennie Durkee had two singles and drove in two runs. Rachel Church had two singles with an RBI while Renee Jordan added three singles for the Royalettes.

Amanda Ostberg hit three singles and a triple with an RBI for the Knights.

In the second game, Ostberg hit four singles and drove in two runs. Alisha Tenney had a single and a solo home run while Hailey Torrey added three singles for Narraguagus.

Hannah Carver hit four singles and drove in four runs while Rachel Church added a single and a home run for the Royalettes.
