BANGOR – Three community leaders from New Orleans will be in Maine this week to talk about their response to Hurricane Katrina and how the crisis was handled.

The three-hour program, titled “Crisis Management in the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina,” will start at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 19, at the Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland, and is being sponsored by the Maine Public Relations Council.

Participating will be: Linda Osborne, director of marketing and business development at Touro Infirmary, a hospital in New Orleans; Dr. Kevin Jordan, Touro’s director of medical affairs, who ran the evacuation for the hospital; and John Deveney, owner of Deveney Communications in New Orleans, who set up the city’s media center after the hurricane.
