HARWICH, Mass. – St. Joseph’s rallied from a six-run deficit to down Bowdoin College 9-7 in the opening round of the NCAA Div. III New England Regional baseball tournament Wednesday.

Luke Enman gave the Monks of Standish the lead for good with a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh. Enman added a single and a double, finishing with three RBIs. Charlie Furbush earned the win, striking out 10.

Jared Lemieux hit two singles and drove in two runs for the Polar Bears of Brunswick.

At Harwich, Mass., Mike Adesa clouted a two-run homer as part of a four-run eighth inning as Salem State advanced to play top-seeded Wheaton College in the NCAA Div. III New England Regional.

Southern Maine will play in an elimination game tonight.

Rob Celanto and Derek Lyons each added solo home runs, and a single and double, respectively.

Ryan Bourque hit a two-run home run for the Huskies, and Eddie Skeffington added three singles and an RBI.
