Burke lifts ‘Jammers to victory Sixth-inning RBI single helps Camden Hills nip Maranacook

ROCKPORT – Noah Burke slapped an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift the Camden Hills Windjammers to a 2-1 high school baseball victory over the Maranacook Black Bears Wednesday.

James Cummings beat out a double-play ball to drive in a run on a fielder’s choice for the winners while Jake Grinnell and Miles Davie added singles.

Dylan Collins doubled while Craig Maffei and Casey Spencer each singled for Maranacook of Readfield.

At East Sullivan, Collin Ciomei hit a grand slam and added an RBI single as the Mariners rolled to the win.

Rob Brown slammed a two-run homer and added a pair of RBI singles for Deer Isle-Stonington. John Eaton and Shane Eaton each had two doubles and two singles.

Evan Alexander had three singles and drove in two runs for the Tigers.

At East Machias, Corey Colbeth hit a home run and a single to drive in three runs and lead Washington Academy to the win.

Jeff Ramsdell had three singles and three RBIs for the Raiders and Todd Jun added two singles and three RBIs. Nick Wood doubled twice to drive in two runs and Tim Nicely singled three times.

Corey Smith hit two singles and had two RBIs for Narraguagus of Harrington and Dan Ostberg added an RBI single.

At Hermon, Zach Deabay and Brad Perry each had an RBI double as Hermon prevailed.

Brett Mitchell had two singles and an RBI and Chris Gridley an RBI single for MDI.

At Newcastle, Ryan Parlin singled, doubled and drove in two runs to help lead Lincoln Academy by Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield.

Brendon Moran hit a double and drove in two runs for the Eagles.

Victor Quint hit a double and a home run with two RBIs, Adam Connors also hit a home run and drove in two runs for the Huskies.

At Rockland, Mike Marsh hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to give the Tigers the win.

Marsh had a two-run triple earlier in the game and Josh Elwell added three singles for Rockland.

Jake Arthurs had a pair of two-run singles for Belfast.

Joe Neill, Evan Farley and Harvey Shue each had a single for the Broncos.

At Husson College in Bangor, Travis Deabay singled twice and doubled to lead Stearns of Millinocket past Orono.

Jordan Burleigh had a couple of singles and knocked in a run for the Minutemen.

At Bangor, the Rams rallied for four runs in the sixth inning to break a 2-1 Old Town lead and go on to record a point worthy victory.

Scott Hackett hit a single, a triple and drove in two runs while Ian Edwards tripled. Kyle Vanidestine and Ben Estabrook each added double for Bangor.

Adam Fournier had a single with two RBIs while Derek Lucas singled and doubled. Corey Estes added two singles for Old Town.

At Guilford, Thomas Douglas hit three singles and drove in a run to help lead Piscataquis by Central.

Justin David singled twice with an RBI while Roy Burdin added two singles for the Pirates.

Tom Collins had an RBI triple while Levi Nickerson added two singles for the Red Devils of Corinth.

At Bangor, Bangor Christian beat Dexter 10-7 in the first game of a doubleheader then fell to Lee 10-7 in the second.

In the first game, Josh Frost singled twice, doubled and knocked in two runs to pace the Patriots. Justin Phinney and Phillip Dougherty each added two singles.

Dan Beatham doubled and singled for the Tigers.

In the second game, Tyler Thompson’s two-run single powered the Pandas to the win.

Kyle McLeod doubled and singled to knock in a run for the winners.

Phinney and Willie Hinckley each had two singles and a double for the Patriots.

At Woodland, winning pitcher Tiffany Wormell aided her own cause with two singles, a double and three RBIs to lead the Dragons by the Vikings of Danforth.

Jessica Olsson chipped in with three singles for the winners.

At Jonesport, the Royalettes turned four Shead errors into eight unearned runs en route to the win.

Brittany Alley pitched a complete game, striking out 11 for the winners. Tiffany Alley drove in a run with a single and Erica Smith singled.

Tonya Cook doubled, singled and knocked in a run to lead Shead of Eastport. Ashley Murphy hit an RBI single and Dorothy Pottle singled.

Angela Leach had two singles and three RBIs for Sumner and Morgan Traxler tripled. Hollie Stanwood and Lona Sargent each singled twice and Page hit a double.

Regyn Lawry and Ally Larsen each singled for Deer Isle-Stonington.

At Rockland, Belfast scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to break a 1-1 tie and earn the win over Rockland.

Jillian Ross doubled and tripled with an RBI while Heather Reed had two singles and an RBI. Stephanie Whittier added two singles for the Lions.

Dana Clark hit a single and a double while Danielle Hansen added two singles for the Tigers.

At Brewer, Nellie Wood hit a two-run triple in the top of the ninth to lift the Broncos to the win.

Lacey Littlefield went the distance for Hampden, striking out 10 and scattering one run on five hits. Hannah Grow, Michelle Wells and Liz Kiser each had two singles.

Christine Thoms singled twice for Brewer and Jordan McLain struck out 10 in the loss.

At Hermon, Ashley Kelley pitched a complete game allowing one run on one hit with 10 strikeouts as the Hawks defeated the Eagles.
