UNITY – Justin Drake of Dover-Foxcroft finished first in his second-ever Late Model Pro Four division race at Unity Raceway Sunday.
After finishing third last week, Drake passed Clinton’s Tim Robinson with less than two laps to go to notch the heat win. Steve Rackliff of Starks passed Drake and led him by 10 car lengths before Drake made his move. With just over a handful of laps remaining, Drake snuck by Rackliff on the inside and won the race by 10 car lengths.
Rackliff had to settle for second place and Benton’s Jim Dennis was third. Just behind was Bill Ellis of Parkman in fourth and Dick McPhail of Fairfield in fifth.
