HOULTON – Corey Lewis had three singles and an RBI to help lead the Houlton Shiretowners to an 18-11 high school baseball victory over the Stearns Minutemen Saturday.
Harry Austin had three singles, Mike Cleary added a triple and a single, and Chris Howland singled twice for the Shiretowners.
For the Minutemen of Millinocket, Tyler Emerson had two singles and an RBI and Jordan Burleigh added two singles.

At Houlton, Hilary Arsenault pitched a shutout allowing one hit striking out seven as Stearns defeated Houlton.
Felicia Acorn hit three singles with an RBI while Amy Collinsworth singled and tripled for the Minutemen of Millinocket.

Ellsworth sweeps Caribou
At Caribou, complete-game efforts out of Catie Cravens and Emily Miller propelled the Ellsworth Eagles to a doubleheader sweep of Caribou, 6-2 and 14-2 Saturday.
In the first game, Cravens allowed five hits while Miller, Maggie Seavey, and Tasha Manning each singled twice to lead the Eagles’ offense.
Ali Richards and Kristen Espling each had a single and a run scored for the Vikings.
In the second game, Miller allowed four singles while Seavey provided more than enough offense, going 4-for-4 with a double and three singles. Maggie Harding also had four hits – all singles – and Manning had a double and a single.
For Caribou, Serena Greer and Jessica Kinney each had a single and a run.

Erica Ritchie hit a single, a triple and drove in three runs and Harris had two singles. Marcy Moors added a triple for the Pandas.

Calais sweeps Machias
At Calais, Stephanie Perry pitched a shutout, allowing three hits with 15 strikeouts to lead Calais by Machias in the first game 2-0. The Blue Devils defeated Machias 22-0 in the second game.
In the first game, Darcy Gillespie hit an RBI double and Cassie Thomas added an RBI single for the Blue Devils.
Christi Holmes had two singles for the Bulldogs.
In the second game, Tessa Clark had three singles with two RBIs while Emily Wilkinson had three singles with an RBI. Brooke Winchester singled twice with three RBIs while Elise Ludington singled twice with an RBI for Calais.
Holmes, Stephanie Whitman, Jasmine Mallar and Beryl Lipton each singled for Machias.

At Bangor, Rachel Stearns hit a triple, a double and two singles to help lead John Bapst by Mattanawcook in the second game 15-2.
Mattanawcook Academy won the first game 8-3.
In the first game, Abby Perkins hit three singles and drove in two runs. Hilary Laferriere had two singles while Rachel Stearns added a triple for the Crusaders.
Christy Burleigh had an RBI double while Caitlin Shorey had an RBI single for the Lynx.
In the second game, Danielle Richard had four singles while Sheila Toomey tripled and singled. Devan Richard added two singles for John Bapst.
Sarah French singled twice for Mattanawcook.
