BANGOR – Tickets are still available for the recognition dinner Saturday in honor of former Bangor High School football coach Gerry Hodge at the Spectacular Events Center.

Hodge coached football for 18 seasons at Bangor after coaching Mexico High School for four years. His combined record was 150-52-6.

The dinner costs $45 per person and part of the proceeds will go to the establishment of a Gerald F. Hodge Scholarship Fund to be awarded to a deserving Bangor High School football player. A cocktail hour will begin at 5 p.m. with the buffet dinner and speakers to follow.

Tickets can be obtained at the Corner Store or Fairmount Market on Hammond Street or by sending a check to Paul W. Newman, 64 Royal Road, Bangor 04401. Contributions are also welcome.
