FORT KENT – The Fort Warriors, who trailed 6-3 heading into the sixth, scored eight runs in the frame, three of which came on two home runs by Brad Soucy, to beat Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics 11-9 in high school baseball action Tuesday.

FORT KENT – The Fort Warriors, who trailed 6-3 heading into the sixth, scored eight runs in the frame, three of which came on two home runs by Brad Soucy, to beat Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics 11-9 in high school baseball action Tuesday.

Soucy led off the rally with a solo homer and finished it off with a two-run shot, giving him seven on the season. Tom Desjardins gave Fort Kent its first lead of the contest with a two-run homer of his own.

Scott Pelletier doubled while Joe Soucy doubled and singled and Derek Bonenfant added two singles for the Warriors.

James Dempsey led the Eagles with a three-run homer in the second and a two-run dinger in the seventh. Matt Enman added a solo shot in the seventh to pull the Eagles to within two.

At Hodgdon, the Hawks scored six runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good against the Tigers.

Hodgdon’s Jamie Ryan racked up four RBIs on two singles, while Matt Sylvester drove in three runs on two singles. Jesse Lane doubled and singled.

Billy Scull paced Fort Fairfield with three singles and two RBIs. Jake Kenneson and Dean Everett each singled twice.

Madawaska 6, Wisdom 4

At St. Agatha, Nathan Beaulieu singled twice and drove in two runs to lead the Owls past the Pioneers.

Matt Beaulieu added an RBI triple for Madawaska.

Randy Thibeault hit an RBI triple and Justin Paradis had two singles and an RBI for Wisdom.

Caribou 5, Houlton 4

At Caribou, John Noyes slapped an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Vikings the win over the Shiretowners.

Noyes added two singles while Pat Thibodeau had two singles and a double for Caribou.

Hunter Caron and Harry Austin each had a single for Houlton.

Ashland sweeps Washburn

At Ashland, the Hornets used a balanced offensive attack to take two from Washburn 6-2 and 10-3.

In the first game, Jeremy Tarr drove in three runs on two singles and Justin Belanger had two singles with two RBI for the Hornets. Kevin Baker added two singles.

Alex Morrow notched a two-run single and Adam Thompson had a single and a run for the Beavers.

In the second game, Trevor Tompkins tripled, singled, drove in three runs and had two runs scored to pace Ashland.

Isaac Ward hit two triples with an RBI and two runs scored, and Henry Milligan added three singles and two RBI. Kevin Baker doubled twice with two runs for the winners.

Josh Goupille tallied a two-run single and Seven Pesut chipped in with two singles and two runs for Washburn.

At Millinocket, Travis Martin hit a two-run double as Stearns scored three runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth to knock off Sumner of East Sullivan.

Corey Barnett and Jeremy Santerre had a double apiece for the Minutemen. Paul Rucci added two singles and Jordan Burleigh two singles and a double.

Steve Brenton had a two-run single to lead the Tigers while Mickey Manning singled three times and Matt Boyle notched a single and a double.

At Dyer Brook, Chelsea Collier, Raya King and Carol King combined on a five-inning no-hitter, striking out eight and walking four, as Southern Aroostook cruised.

Jordan Sholler and Audrey Charette each had four hits, including a triple and a double, and they combined to drive in 10 runs to pace the 27-hit attack.

Sholler had six RBIs and Charette had four.

Amanda Charette contributed four singles and knocked in two runs.

Julie Peers pitched a complete-game shutout.

Krystal Cyr singled twice and Trisha Desjardins doubled for Fort Kent.

Ashland sweeps Washburn

At Ashland, Danielle Long went 6-for-8 with six singles and four RBI as Ashland took two from Washburn, 14-1 and 15-3.

In the first game, Angela Belskis smacked a bases clearing triple and Whitney Flint added a double and two singles to lead the Hornets.

Amber Palmer notched an RBI single and Erica McDougal singled for the Beavers.

In the second game, Long and Katie Clark singled four times apiece and drove in three runs for Ashland.

Mindy Chasse added a three-run triple for the winners.

Kelsee McLaughlin belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the first and Kristen Goupille singled twice for Washburn.

At Hodgdon, Kellie Osgood’s RBI single in the top of the seventh turned out to be the winning hit as the Tigers held off the Hawks’ rally in the bottom of the inning.

After scoring four runs in the seventh, Hodgdon had the tying run on third with no outs but couldn’t score her.

Ruthie Arato hit two singles and posted three RBIs for Fort Fairfield, and Osgood also had two singles with one RBI.

Brianne McGary topped the Hawks with three singles, and Tasha Dwyer, Amanda Scott, and Sara Brewer each posted two singles. Brewer also had four RBIs.

At Bucksport, Terren Hall drove in three runs on a two-run and solo home runs, and also hit a doubled while striking out 13 batters as Bucksport finished the regular season undefeated.

Sarah Winters tallied two doubles and a single, and Alex Sullivan doubled, singled and drove in a run for the Golden Bucks.

Casey McCloskey hit two singles and Kristy Burleigh added a single for the Lynx.

Lana Sargent brought home two runs on three singles and Morgan Traxler doubled for the Tigers of East Sullivan.
