ROCKLAND – A law enforcement drug sweep Wednesday yielded six arrests and 58 bags of heroin after a joint investigation into drug trafficking in Knox and Lincoln counties.
Rockland police, Lincoln County Drug Task Force and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency have been conducting an ongoing investigation into drug activity in the midcoast for several months.
Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, officers arrested three people in the parking lot near Subway when they allegedly arrived there to sell heroin – David Carver, 30, of Warren, Alicia Carr, 25, of Rockland, and Amanda Bridges, 21, also of Rockland.
Upon arresting the trio, officers found Carver and Carr in possession of about 18 bags of heroin and three methadone wafers from a clinic, according to law enforcement press releases.
A search warrant was then executed at Carver and Carr’s Warren residence and more illegal drugs, including 40 bags of heroin and more methadone were found. Carver was charged with three counts of trafficking heroin and three counts of conspiracy to traffic heroin – all felonies. Carr was charged with the same six charges and more charges are expected to follow.
A street value on the cache was not available, Deputy Police Chief Wallace Tower said Thursday.
Bridges was charged with a probation violation for testing positive for illegal drugs. She is on probation for trafficking heroin.
Also arrested during the sweep were: Anthony Langille, 38, of Waldoboro for trafficking in cocaine and trafficking hydrocodone, both felonies. Langille was also charged with violation of conditions of release because he was out on bail from an October 2005 cocaine trafficking charge. Jennifer Fetterolli, 29, of Warren was charged with aggravated trafficking Klonopin, a felony. This charge was aggravated due to the crime occurring within a school zone. Marc Harding, 32, of Warren was also arrested for a probation violation.
