The state of Maine is featured in the June issue of U.S. Airways Magazine, which hit airplane seats this week. Covered in the 22-page profile are Maine people and organizations involved in the state’s business, health care, higher education and tourism fields. Among the topics featured are the American Folk Festival in Bangor, Maine sporting camps and the boat-building industry. In southern Maine, the magazine highlights Swans Island, Portland sandwich shop Duckfat, and Cold River Vodka in Fryeburg. The issue will reach the nearly 6 million travelers who fly U.S. Airways each month, a spokesman for the publication said Friday.
