BANGOR – Jim Chasse, principal of Bangor Christian Schools, has announced the valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2006. Graduation and baccalaureate ceremonies will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 9, in the Bangor Baptist Church auditorium.

Brock Bradford, son of Ross and Cheryl Bradford of Kenduskeag, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2006. He will attend Husson College in Bangor to study accounting.

He was the chaplain of his senior class and has been actively involved in teaching chapel and leading a high school Bible study. He recently received a NFIB Young Entrepreneur Scholarship for starting his own lawn care business.

Bradford participated in soccer and basketball all four years of high school, and was a starter for both a basketball state championship and a soccer state championship. Selected three times as an All-State basketball player, he will continue his basketball career at Husson.

Anna Boone, daughter of Pencil and Martha Boone of Brewer, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2006. She will attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., to study pre-medicine.

She is president of the National Honor Society at Bangor Christian Schools. She has participated in softball, chorus, and ladies ensemble. She is a National Merit Scholar and has received a full four-year scholarship.
