Ponies post 12 in 3rd inning, upset Vikings White, Lancisi homer for FA

CARIBOU – Eleventh-seeded Foxcroft Academy pushed across 12 runs in the top of the third inning en route to a 17-4 upset of No. 6 Caribou in a Class B baseball preliminary game Tuesday.

David White smacked a grand slam and a double for the Ponies, and Nick Lancisi added a two-run home run and two singles.

Kyle Corrigan doubled and Eric Jepson had two singles and an RBI for the Vikings.

Rockland 14, Hermon 10

At Rockland, Ryan Royer belted a grand slam and added two singles, driving in five runs, to lead No. 8 Rockland past No. 9 Hermon.

Dom Morrill had a solo home run and two singles, and Ben Baudanza-Sturks doubled, singled and drove in a run for the Tigers. Jon Elwell chipped in with an RBI single and a double.

Tim Kenerson drove in two runs on three singles and Brian Saucier notched two singles and an RBI for the Hawks.

At Camden, Miles Davee hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the second and added a single to lead No. 7 Camden Hills over No. 10 John Bapst.

Noah Burke notched a two-run double and a single with three runs scored. Jake Grinnell singled twice with a double and three RBIs for the Windjammers.

Aaron Healy tallied a two-run single and Casey Hull had two singles for the Crusaders of Bangor. Adam Clark added a double.

At Millinocket, Scott Kelley hit a two-run single in the eighth inning to give No. 9 Central of Corinth the win over No. 8 Stearns.

Levi Nickerson hit an RBI single for Central and Danny Kane singled and scored three runs.

Jordan Burleigh doubled and singled with an RBI for Stearns. Tyler Emerson and Cody Barnett both hit an RBI single.

At East Machias, Nick Wood hit a two-run home run in the fifth to put the No. 7 Raiders on top for good.

Ethan Woodman and Aaron Woodman each had an RBI single for No. 10 Dexter and A.J. McGowan a double.

At Calais, Mark Sirois hit a two-run home run in the third inning to help No. 11 Madawaska upset No. 6 Calais.

Matt Beaulieu hit a two-run triple in the fifth inning for Madawaska and Dustin Butler singled twice to knock in a run. Ethan Welch hit an RBI double and Billy Roy had two singles.

David Crossman had two singles with an RBI for the Blue Devils and Keegan McCormick added an RBI double.

At Mars Hill, Eric Martinez hit a home run, double, and two singles to drive in four runs and lead No. 5 Central Aroostook past No. 12 Bangor Christian.

Tim Carlson homered and doubled to knock in six runs for the Panthers. Andrew York had a double and two singles with an RBI and Sam Clockedile had two singles and two RBIs.

Micah Dougherty led Bangor Christian with two home runs and four RBIs.

Matt Parent hit an RBI single in the fifth inning for Van Buren and Trevor Hews singled and scored twice.

Jake Kenneson, Brian Andrews, Ian Towle and Cody Closson each hit two singles for Fort Fairfield.

At Dyer Brook, Clay Lawlor racked up two singles and four RBIs, including the winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh, as the No. 8 Warriors tipped the No. 9 Tigers.

Lawlor singled in Evan Boutilier, who had singled and advanced to third on an error. Adam Anderson hit two singles and drove in two runs, while Josh Branscombe singled three times and added an RBI.

Shead of Eastport’s Brendon Laplante and Jacob Kilton each singled twice and tallied two RBIs.

Shane Eaton hit a two-run double and Jon Eaton added two singles. Eben Powers chipped in with an RBI single for the Mariners.

Steve Newell had a two-run single for the Dragons.
