We are in a state of anti-family sentiments and laws, high taxes and fees that have been increased since John Baldacci has been in office. For one to say that he inherited “in-the-red” books is ludicrous, since he and the Democrat-controlled House and Senate have perpetuated what he supposedly inherited. They have had free rein to introduce bills, pass them through both houses and have them signed by the governor, as well as to increase fees on various services throughout the state, all the while stating that they were not increasing taxes.

As we go to the polls throughout our state on Tuesday, I would urge voters to carefully consider the impact of electing liberals to run our state. We are already close to the bottom of that downhill slide, and we need a change.

My first assessment of a candidate is whether or not he or she is pro-life – from conception to death. Unfortunately, we have totally anti-life candidates in Baldacci and Peter Mills, while David Emery is trying to decide with the wind change, and Chandler Woodcock decided that exceptions of “rape, incest and the life of the mother” are OK for a Christian lay preacher to adhere to. Where does the independent John Michael stand? He is definitely not 100 percent pro-life as touted by some leaders in Maine.

So, conservatives, mark your ballots with the best of the least, I guess, although voting for the “lesser of two evils” is not a good thing to do, since that lesser one could prove to be the fall of Maine. Perhaps you can put your name in the blank space provided, but be certain to do it properly.
