ORONO – The University of Maine women’s ice hockey team had 10 student-athletes named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.

For the Black Bears, Morgan Januse of Dundas, Ontario, was one of six Hockey East student-athletes to earn Distinguished Scholar honors as a four-year member of the All-Academic Team. Sonia Corriveau, Brigette Laflamme, and Cheryl White are three-time honorees. Kim Meagher of Hampden, Julie Poulin, and Karine Senecal were honored for the second time. Lundy Day, Pam Patterson, and Genevieve Turgeon were honored for the first year.

The Academic All-Star team recognizes the top GPAs by position. Meagher, Januse, and Patterson took three of the six spots available on the squad.
