BANGOR – A Bangor woman was charged with aggravated assault on Tuesday after it was reported she stabbed her 29-year-old son in the arm after a dispute over money.

The woman’s son and daughter told police that at about 5 p.m. they were walking on the sidewalk near the Knights of Columbus Hall on Court Street when their mother drove at them in her vehicle. The daughter said she had to jump out of the way and that the son reached inside the car to get the keys, according to the police report.

Lisa Campbell, 46, allegedly stabbed her son on the right arm as he reached into the car, although she told police that her son had tried to choke her with the shoulder belt and struck her face several times.
