A 50-year-old Bangor motorcyclist was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center on Thursday evening after being involved in an accident with another vehicle on North Main Street in Brewer.

A 41-year-old Brewer man, who was not injured, was driving the other vehicle involved in the accident, which occurred near the IGA supermarket, according to Cpl. Paul Gauvin of the Brewer Police Department.

The Brewer man had no passengers in his vehicle.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. The extent of his injuries was unknown Thursday evening, according to Gauvin.

A Brewer man was arrested Wednesday evening after police discovered he had violated the conditions of his bail.

Brewer police received an anonymous tip that Theolus Coney, 29, who recently was charged with domestic assault, was at a Rooney Street address that he had been prohibited to enter.

Officer Jeremy Upham, who was familiar with the case, allegedly observed Coney through the window of the Rooney Street home, and knocked on the door.

A child, whom police identified as the victim involved in Coney’s previous charge, answered the door, according to Cpl. Paul Gauvin.

Coney’s mother also came to the door, and first stated that Coney was not there, but after further questioning, she admitted that he was present.

An anonymous tip received Wednesday by Hampden police led to the arrest of a woman who illegally possessed methadone at her Main Road South mobile home in Hampden.

A woman was arrested Wednesday after Veazie police determined she was operating a vehicle under the influence of prescription drugs.

Robin Shover, 31, of Carmel allegedly pulled out in front of Veazie police Officer Michael Adams on State Street, after running a stop sign and nearly crashing into a retaining wall, according to police reports.

As he approached Shover’s 2004 Hyundai SUV, Adams said, she was slumped over her steering wheel and her responses to his questions did not make sense.

Shover failed several sobriety tests and told Adams that she had taken at least four prescription drugs, including a muscle relaxant, about 40 minutes before operating her vehicle.

After placing Shover under arrest, Adams took her to the Bangor Police Department, where Bangor police Officer Scott Pelletier, a drug recognition expert, determined that Shover should not have been driving.

The Carmel woman had not consumed any alcohol, according to Adams. She was taken to Penobscot County Jail.
