GREENSBORO, N.C. – Fifteen Maine high school racewalkers competed in the Nike Premiere Outdoor Track and Field Championship with five earning All-American honors by finishing in the top five in their events.

In the male 1-mile racewalk, Scarborough junior and Class A state champ Taylor Burns was second with a time of 7 minutes, 20.11 seconds. Michael Boucher, a recent graduate of Ellsworth High, was third in 7:25.19. Bonny Eagle of Standish junior Allen Cox was fifth in 7:35.81.

Boothbay senior and Class C state record holder Lauren Forgues was second in the girls race with a time of 7:33.27. Maranacook of Readfield senior Lyvia Gaewsky was fifth in 8:07.33.
