BELFAST – A loud argument Tuesday night on Park Street led to a Florida teen being charged with drunken driving.
A resident of the downtown neighborhood called police shortly before 9:30 p.m. to complain of shouting in the street. By the time Patrolman Michael Rolerson arrived, one of the people involved in the argument had hopped into his Jeep and driven off. The argument was about the man being too drunk to drive.
A short time later, Rolerson spotted the Jeep on Cedar Street and arrested Andrew Hansen, 19, of Boca Raton, Fla., on a charge of operating while under the influence of intoxicants. Hansen was taken to the Waldo County Jail, where bail was set at $250.
