BANGOR – The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation announced recently that it awarded a grant in the amount of $20,000 to Maine Audubon. Maine Audubon works to conserve Maine’s wildlife and wildlife habitat by engaging people of all ages in education, conservation and action.

The grant funding is in support of Maine Audubon’s $1 million capital campaign to support a new outreach and education program at Fields Pond in Holden.

The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation’s grant signifies its commitment to focus its philanthropic efforts on worthy initiatives that will make communities more prosperous, more livable and more vibrant. The foundation’s goals are focused on workforce education levels and youth retention, growing the creative economy and supporting micro-enterprise and entrepreneurship.
