A congregation on Outer Broadway plans a series of programs it says are designed to bring the church to the community this summer. Abundant Life Church will hold four events called Mix 2006 around the city designed to appeal to families of all ages, according to the Rev. Darren Farmer, senior minister. The first will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the church at 1404 Broadway. “We’ll have barbecue, drinks, music, fun and games for kids with a dunk tank, bounce tent and face painting.” The other three community events will be held on: July 22 in Pickering Square; Aug. 19 in Broadway Park; and Sept. 2 at Manna Ministries on Farm Road.
