The Chicago Blackhawks selected University of Maine defenseman Simon Danis-Pepin 61st overall in the second round Saturday in the NHL Entry Draft in Vancouver.
Danis-Pepin played in 23 games for the Black Bears. He had five assists and seven penalties for 14 minutes and was named the team’s Most Improved Player after the season, in which Maine advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four.
