Madison man sentenced in child porn case

BANGOR – A Madison man was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court to more than five years in prison for possession of child pornography.

Keven Littlejohn, 39, was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison and to 10 years of supervised release after he completes his sentence. He also was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.

He faced up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

The recommended sentence under the federal sentencing guidelines was 63 to 78 months, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Gail Malone.

Littlejohn was indicted by a federal grand jury in January in Bangor on charges of attempting to possess child pornography and possession of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to the charges in March.

Police last year seized Littlejohn’s two computers at his home after he answered an Internet advertisement posted in a newsgroup by a postal inspector working undercover in Philadelphia, according to court documents.

Littlejohn communicated with the inspector several time via e-mail about videos of child pornography that he had ordered online.

At least 168 images found on his computer depicted images of minors identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children from previous investigations, according to court documents. Some of the images depicted sadistic and masochistic treatment of children.

Littlejohn does not have a criminal history, but his guideline range was increased because he had more than 150 images of child pornography.

The images included prepubescent children, Malone said Monday after the sentencing.
