Windham man given time in child porn case

PORTLAND – A registered sex offender from Windham has been handed a seven-year prison sentence for possessing and distributing child pornography.

John Corbin, 60, pleaded guilty to the charges in April and was sentenced Tuesday in Cumberland County Superior Court.

Corbin was arrested after he sent an e-mail to an undercover detective that included an explicit image of a juvenile engaged in a sex act with an adult.

Corbin, who worked as a youth group counselor, faces 18 years of probation after he gets out of prison.
