CARIBOU – The bruins that spent several days in a backyard tree 10 days ago are back.
Actually, they never left, but they have not made a nuisance of themselves in the last week or so.
Sgt. Paul Vincent said Friday that the mother and cubs had stayed around, but simply had not appeared in anyone’s backyard. He said people have seen them at night.
On Thursday, they began making daylight forays again, but some way down the road, according to Vincent. They are about five blocks from the spot on Reservoir Street where they spent several days in a tree two weekends ago.
“There have been no problems with them,” Vincent said. “Most people don’t even know they are out and about.”
