Patricia, 13, is creative, athletic

Patricia is a unique, insightful and creative 13-year-old girl. She is friendly, bubbly and has a wonderful sense of humor. She is a hard worker who makes honest attempts to meet her responsibilities.

Patricia enjoys outdoor activities such as boating, swimming, fishing and kayaking. She takes pleasure in being involved in athletics and spending time with her friends and in family outings.

This teen also likes arts and crafts, creative writing, reading, listening to music and relaxing. She would like to learn to play the guitar.

Patricia cares about her schoolwork and enjoys the success she has earned. She likes school and the friends she has made there.

A traditional two-parent family is recommended for Patricia. Her adoptive parents should be mature, experienced and “nonreactive.”

She would do best as an only child or the much younger child in the family so that she can receive the attention she deserves. A family with pets would be appropriate.

Patricia is one of the 157 children currently in Maine Department of Health and Human Services care who is seeking an adoptive family.

Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with Maine DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
