Potter leads Bucksport to win over Ellsworth

BUCKSPORT – James Potter hit a home run, a double and a single to drive in six runs to lead Bucksport to a 10-7 victory over Ellsworth in District 3 ages 11-12 Little League all-star action Friday.

Tyler McAllian had two singles and two RBIs while Andrew Giosia added two doubles for Bucksport.

Kyle Haslem had two doubles while Thomas Sawyer had two singles for Ellsworth.

Brewer 11, Orrington 1

At Old Town, Andrew Collins pitched a complete game allowing only one run to lead Brewer by Orrington.

Tony Bissell had two doubles while Sam Ness added a double for Brewer.

Austin Spencer, Bradean Sickels, Drew Blaylock and Jesse Boucher each had a single for Orrington.

Sunrise 5, Moosabec 1

At Milbridge, Curtis Worcester hit two triples and earned the win on the mound to lead Sunrise to victory.

Brendan Tenney had a single and two doubles while Chris Chaponis had a triple and a single. David Grant added a double for Sunrise.

Thomas Beal hit a double for Moosabec.
